Sudip Dasgupta named Director of Projects at Cognizant

Sudip Dasgupta, Director of Projects, Cognizant

Sudip Dasgupta has been appointed Director of Projects at Cognizant, while also serving as Enterprise Architect for GenAI and Agentic AI. His journey shows that AI transformation requires more than knowledge of large language models. It demands scalable automation frameworks, global program leadership, and measurable business outcomes.

He earlier spent over seventeen years at Cognizant building deep delivery expertise. Leading large global teams. Managing complex infrastructure, middleware and cloud programs across industries. Driving multi-year enterprise transformations where technical complexity meets business criticality.

He then joined Accenture as Vice President, Program and Project Management. There, he led global AI strategy and enterprise GenAI deployments across Fortune 500 organizations, delivering efficiency gains and building high-performance AI teams. This is where AI moved from proof of concept to enterprise scale, with governance, security, ROI accountability and organizational change management.

Now back at Cognizant, he drives large-scale Generative AI implementations, Agentic AI workflows, automation frameworks and enterprise AI strategy. His focus includes architecting agentic systems that operate autonomously in production, scaling GenAI across governed enterprise environments and delivering operational efficiency beyond pilot programs.

Sudip combines program management, cloud and infrastructure depth and hands-on GenAI expertise. His certifications span Generative AI, AWS Solutions Architecture, Azure Fundamentals, Blockchain, PRINCE2, and Prompt Engineering. He has published research papers and as many as 8 patents on various AI topics and usecases.

With two decades of experience across infrastructure, cloud, enterprise delivery and AI strategy, he represents a new category of AI leader: execution-first, architecture-driven and ROI-focused.

At Boardroom CXO, we see enterprises prioritizing AI transformation leaders with strong program management and delivery backgrounds. Scaling GenAI from pilots to production requires governance, stakeholder alignment and measurable efficiency gains.

For AI and enterprise architecture leaders: what is harder, building autonomous agentic AI systems in production environments or managing organizational change when GenAI disrupts established processes?
