Sonia Bali named Vice President – Leadership Hiring Group at BUSINESSNEXT

Sonia Bali, Vice President – Leadership Hiring Group, BUSINESSNEXT

From full-lifecycle recruitment at global firms to leading executive talent strategy for AI-driven BFSI platforms. That’s nearly two decades of leadership hiring expertise in high-growth environments.

Sonia Bali has been elevated to Vice President – Leadership Hiring Group at BUSINESSNEXT. Her journey reflects how executive recruitment in fintech goes far beyond screening resumes. It requires partnering with CXOs, identifying transformational leaders, and building leadership pipelines for enterprise platforms scaling globally.

She began her career at EXL, Aon, and Xerox, developing strong expertise in full-lifecycle recruitment within global organizations where talent quality directly impacts delivery and scale. She later joined Cars24, gaining exposure to high-velocity hiring in consumer technology.

Her career expanded into leadership roles as General Manager – HR at Compunnel Inc. and Infopro Learning, Inc, managing recruitment strategies across both technology and non-technology talent functions.

At BUSINESSNEXT, she spent nearly four years as Assistant Vice President before this elevation, helping build the leadership hiring function. Recruiting for AI-driven BFSI platforms requires executives who combine fintech innovation with deep banking and regulatory understanding.

Now based in Noida as Vice President, she leads executive talent strategy for BUSINESSNEXT’s AI platform focused on Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance. Her role centers on acquiring senior leaders who can drive fintech growth, enterprise transformation, and global expansion.

Her experience spans nearly 20 years across EXL, Aon Hewitt, Xerox, CARS24, Compunnel, Infopro Learning, and now BUSINESSNEXT. A career built on executive search, employer branding, and leadership hiring across technology and BFSI ecosystems.

At Boardroom CXO, we are seeing fintech and AI companies increasingly prioritize leadership hiring heads with cross-industry recruitment expertise and strong domain understanding. As enterprise platforms scale in regulated sectors like BFSI, identifying leaders who combine technology depth with industry expertise is becoming a key differentiator.

We run an invite-only CXO community with weekly networking and peer learning sessions where talent leaders discuss building executive pipelines for AI platforms, employer branding in competitive fintech markets, and partnering with CXOs on leadership talent strategy.

For talent acquisition leaders: what is harder — identifying transformational leaders for regulated industries, or building employer brands strong enough to attract them?
