Retesh Mathur named Head – Service & Parts at Montra Electric Truck

Retesh Mathur, Head – Service & Parts, Montra Electric Truck

From commercial vehicle after-sales to building national service ecosystems for electric trucks. That’s 25 years of mastering service operations from traditional CVs to electrification.

Retesh Mathur has been appointed Head – Service & Parts at Montra Electric Truck.

His career reflects deep expertise in commercial vehicle after-sales, service networks, parts distribution, and operational leadership built over more than two decades in the automotive sector.

He developed his foundation through multiple leadership roles at Eicher Trucks and Buses, managing sales, service, and parts operations with P&L responsibility, while building high-performing teams and extensive distributor networks. He also brings international experience from his time with Tata Motors in Ukraine and Russia, along with exposure in Oman with MAN Trucks, reflecting strong cross-market adaptability and multilingual capability.

Over the years, he has maintained a strong focus on customer-centric service operations, including publishing insights on customer needs in Auto Magazine (2010). He has also contributed to technician skill development through the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) and has been actively involved with Toastmasters International, strengthening leadership and communication capabilities.

At Montra Electric Truck, he will lead PAN India service operations, AMC strategy, technical support, and parts distribution, while building structured training centers to equip technicians with electric powertrain expertise.

Leading after-sales in the electric commercial vehicle segment requires more than traditional service management. It involves training technicians for EV powertrains, building parts supply chains for emerging technologies, and ensuring fleet uptime where service protocols and infrastructure are still evolving.

With 25 years of experience, Retesh brings a combination of commercial vehicle depth, operational leadership, workforce capability building, and customer-focused service strategy, essential for scaling electric truck ecosystems.

At Boardroom CXO, we increasingly see electric commercial vehicle companies prioritizing after-sales leaders with deep conventional CV experience and training infrastructure expertise as they build national EV service networks.

For after-sales leaders in electric commercial vehicles:
What is more challenging—training diesel-focused technicians for electric powertrains, or building parts distribution ecosystems for EV components where supply chains are still maturing?
