From two decades of hiring in technology and financial services to now building talent pipelines for India’s infrastructure boom. This is not just a role change. It is a shift from transactional recruitment to strategic workforce planning at national scale.
Prakash Krishnappa has joined Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) as Head of Talent Acquisition. MEIL, with over 10,000 employees and projects across energy, urban development, and large engineering programs, hires for multi-year project lifecycles. Talent acquisition here is about long-term workforce planning, not short-term hiring targets.
Prakash brings 20+ years of transforming talent acquisition and HR operations across IT services, consulting, banking, manufacturing, and global corporations. At Dell Technologies, he scaled the Hyderabad site for global delivery. At Accenture, he built talent strategies for expansion into tier 2 cities, opening new workforce geographies. He has led AI-driven recruitment transformation, digitized resource management, and large reskilling programs aligned with Skill India.
His leadership spans Bank of America, Thomson Reuters, Birlasoft, SKF Group, and the Modi Group Of Companies, covering large-scale hiring, HR transformation, and workforce planning across diverse business models. Each sector demanded different talent strategies, from speed and compliance to certification and safety.
At MEIL, his mandate is to build strategic talent pipelines for specialized engineering roles, align hiring with long-term project roadmaps, and create a scalable talent supply chain to support India’s infrastructure growth across energy, irrigation, and urban development.
At Boardroom CXO, we see infrastructure and engineering companies increasingly appoint talent leaders with cross-sector transformation experience and strong capability in AI-led recruitment and workforce planning.
For TA leaders, what has been the bigger game-changer at scale, AI-driven hiring or strategic workforce geography planning?
