From commissioning 400kV switchyards to leading procurement for the world's largest solar plant at the time to now heading Commercial, Supply Chain & Logistics at Transformers and Rectifiers India Ltd., Mukesh Nandan Jha's journey reflects over two decades of leadership across India's power and energy ecosystem.

Mukesh Nandan Jha has been appointed Vice President and Head of Commercial, Supply Chain, and Logistics at Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd

His career demonstrates why commercial leadership in power infrastructure requires more than procurement expertise. It demands engineering depth, contract management, category leadership, and the ability to execute large-scale projects where technical precision and commercial outcomes must align.

He began in power infrastructure with Utility Powertech Limited - India, working on India's first 600 MW unit at HPGCL Haryana, including 400kV switchyard commissioning and SCADA systems. Roles at Reliance Energy and UB Group further strengthened his expertise across transmission, substations, and power distribution.

A defining chapter came at Adani Power and Adani Green Energy Ltd., where he spent over seven years leading procurement and supply chain initiatives across thermal and renewable projects. He played a key role in the 648 MW Kamuthi Solar Power Plant, then the world's largest solar plant, while managing nearly ₹2,000 crore in spend across 400+ domestic and international partners.

He later held leadership roles at Sterlite Power, KEC International Ltd., RPG Group, and VIKRAN Engineering Ltd., driving procurement, logistics, and supply chain strategy across transmission, renewables, EPC, water, wind, and BESS businesses.

Now at TARIL, he will lead commercial operations, procurement, contracts, and supply chain strategy for one of India's leading power equipment manufacturers.

What stands out is his ability to bridge engineering and commercial leadership. Few executives have worked across generation, transmission, distribution, substations, renewables, EPC, and manufacturing at this scale.

He holds a B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, an MBA in Operations from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and an Advanced Certificate in Power Distribution Management.
