From pharmaceutical marketing to building hospital business across Africa and SAARC markets, Jay Shukla's career reflects 16 years of driving international healthcare growth.

Jay Shukla has been appointed Deputy General Manager - International Sales & Marketing at Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital.

He began his career with EyeKare Kilitch and Kilitch Drugs India Ltd, managing pharmaceutical marketing, exports, and international business development. Early exposure to global healthcare markets and industry platforms like CPhI helped build his foundation in relationship-led healthcare growth.

After roles in consulting and hospital business analysis, he moved into international healthcare business development, leading market expansion across East Africa. Managing relationships across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, and Gabon, he expanded insurance partnerships from 5 to 25 while strengthening referral networks and clinical engagement programs.

He later held international business leadership roles at Wockhardt Hospitals Ltd, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre, and HealthCare Global, driving patient acquisition, market expansion, branding, and strategic partnerships across Africa, SAARC, and other international markets.

Since joining Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital in 2022, he has played a key role in strengthening international business development, branding, and market expansion initiatives. In his new role as DGM, he will lead international sales, strategic partnerships, referral networks, and global growth initiatives.

What stands out is his ability to build healthcare businesses across diverse markets where insurance ecosystems, referral relationships, and institutional trust are critical to long-term growth.

Jay holds an MSc in Clinical Research from Cranfield University, a PG Diploma in Clinical Research Management, and has completed the Senior Leadership Programme from Indian Institute of Management Kashipur.
