From Asian Paints and Coca-Cola to leading people strategy at Tropolite Foods. That’s nearly three decades of driving HR transformation across FMCG, telecom, manufacturing, agriculture, and industrial businesses.

Dr. I V S Ranganath has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Tropolite Foods.

His career reflects deep expertise in organizational transformation, employee engagement, industrial relations, HR digitization, talent management, and leadership development across multi-site operations.

He began his journey with Asian Paints and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, building strong foundations in manufacturing and FMCG HR. At Idea Cellular and Aircel, he led employee engagement, retention, and HR transformation initiatives, including developing predictive retention models and setting up HR operations for large telecom circles.

At Signode India Limited, he managed HR across manufacturing, sales, and automation businesses, successfully leading long-term union settlements, HRIS implementation, and organization-wide policy transformation.

He later spent over seven years at Shriram Bioseed Genetics (A Division of DCM Shriram Ltd) as Head HR India, where he led large-scale culture and leadership transformation initiatives. Under his leadership, employee engagement scores improved from 68% to 92%, alongside implementation of integrated HRMS platforms, assessment centers, succession planning, and workforce transformation programs.

Now at Tropolite Foods, he will lead people strategy for a 1000+ employee organization across production, sales, supply chain, R&D, quality, and corporate functions, supporting the company’s next phase of growth and organizational expansion.

With experience spanning Asian Paints, Coca-Cola, Idea, Aircel, Signode, Bioseed, and now Tropolite Foods, his journey combines industrial relations, HR technology, organizational design, and culture transformation across diverse industries.

He is also TQM Greenbelt certified and has led multiple HR digitization, engagement, and leadership development initiatives throughout his career.

At Boardroom CXO, we increasingly see food, manufacturing, and agriculture businesses prioritizing CHROs with cross-industry transformation experience and proven culture-building capabilities as organizations scale rapidly.

For HR leaders:
What’s harder, building talent pipelines across R&D, manufacturing, and field sales teams simultaneously, or driving culture transformation during rapid business growth?
